RIIZE - "Boom Boom Bass" MV Review

Promotional photo for Riize's new music video "Boom Boom Bass." From left to right Anton, Shotaro, Wonbin, Sohee, Eunseok and Sungchan stand in a guitar/bass shop

Previously, in April, Riize pre-released the songs "Impossible, "One Kiss," and "9 Days" (Review) for their then-upcoming first mini album, RIIZING
Now, my ...ahem, the long wait is over, and Riize has finally released their first mini album, RIIZING, and its lead single and title track, "Boom Boom Bass."

"Boom Boom Bass"

"Boom Boom Bass" is the funky version of "Get A Guitar," and it makes sense as both songs were composed by the same people. I just have to say that I love both songs a lot, and so far, Riize hasn't truly let me down with any of their songs.
I love bass lines in songs and the nice, groovy bass sound of "Boom Boom Bass" is absolutely fantastic. The pre-chorus (example) reminds me of Daft Punk and I'm all in for that. The only disappointing thing about this song is its length. 2:33 is too short.
Now that Riize has songs named after the guitar, saxophone, and bass, I wonder what instruments will name their future songs... I hope they continue this "tradition" of naming songs after instruments (I also hope the next instrument will be something like a harp or violin!).

The MV is nice, fun, and chaotic. I really like the shots at the trashed restaurant at 1:02; they are quite fast-paced. I also like the part where Wonbin flies through space at 1:51 -the bass case has "DO NOT OPEN" written on it, so there is only one person to blame for Wonbin flying through space-
The part at 1:13 feels like a call back to 1:13 of "Get A Guitar," how cute.

The choreography is really good and fits the song very-well. For some, reason my legs hurt while watching the dancing at the chorus.

Style-wise, I love the outfits in this music video; I have no complaints.
Wonbin's greenish denim jacket is gorgeous, as is his faux leather jacket. Sungchan leather jacket also looks beautiful. I am a sucker for group outfits, so I loved having two variations of it during the music video, although they are quite simple (see 0:46 and 2:35).
Wonbin has cut his hair short and re-dyed it black. It looks good, although I liked and I'm going to miss his short lived blonde hair. I also think that Sohee's hair cut and colour look really good!

Off-topic, but I love that they have released a full version of "Siren." I had been waiting for the full version since. However, now that it exists it feels a bit weird ﹘ probably because I'm so used to the original version that listening to the full version feels odd...
