Shooting Stars (별똥별) is a 16-episode TvN romantic comedy Kdrama starring Lee Sung-Kyung, Kim Young-Dae, Yoon Jong-Hoon, Kim Yoon-Hye, Park So-Jin and Lee Jung-Shin.

Summary

Oh Han-Byul (Lee Sung-Kyung) works as the team leader of Star Force Entertainment's public relations department. Whenever a star has a scandal or controversy she works hard (even in her free time) because she has great communication skills and is excellent when the company is in time of crisis. Most of the time her work ethics get in the way of her private life, especially her love life.
One of the company's stars is Gong Tae-Sung (Kim Young-Dae), a very popular actor generally known by the public for his good looks, kindness and charitable work. Han-Byul doesn't think the same of him, in fact, she finds him annoying and loathes him. They have been "friends" since college and have a love-hate relationship where they constantly bicker.
Other workers at Star Force are Tae Sung's manager Kang Yu-Sun (Yoon Jong-Hoon), who is friends with both Han-Byul and Tae Sung, and Park Ho-Young (Kim Yoon-Hye), who used to be a bodyguard and now is a manager looking for the next star.
The other main characters are Jo Ki-Bum (Park So-Jin), an entertainment reporter and Han-Byul's best friend and Do Soo-Hyuk (Lee Jung-Shin), a corporate lawyer and consultant who always leaves work on time and hates overtime.
After Tae-Sung comes back from doing charity work in Africa, he wants to annoy Han-Byul so he starts hanging out at the PR department. He soon begins to harbor feelings for Han-Byul, which leads to the question: Does Han-Byul feel the same way about Tae-Sung...?

Thoughts

Shooting Stars is a really light-hearted and funny Kdrama. I loved how the drama shows how entertainment companies handle the scandals of their stars. I also loved the cameos like Kim Seul-Gi as the rookie singer Happy, but I especially loved when the characters of Find Me in Your Memory (Review) appeared, it made me so happy (both dramas share a director). Technically, that means that Shooting Stars and Find Me in Your Memory are set in the same "universe". In Find Me in Your Memory Kim Seul-Gi portrays Ha-Jin's sister Ha-Kyung and Yoon Jong-Hoon portrays Jung-Hoon's best friend Yoo Tae-Eun but I'm just going to cross it out as being a severe case of doppelgängers (there are 7 other people in the world that look just like you and all that...)
I really liked Lee Sung-Kyung's performance, especially the scene in the first episode where she wakes up from anesthesia and clumsily goes to work.
I have to give props to Kim Young-Dae, who was really good and made loveable a character that in real life would be very annoying.
I found the OST to be very plain. Generally, when watching a Kdrama I get a song stuck in my head but in this case, I can't remember any of the songs. I mean the songs sound nice, but they aren't very memorable.
I recommend this Kdrama if you like a light-hearted show, workplace settings, and a nice "enemies" to lovers story.
