Find Me in Your Memory (그 남자의 기억법) is a 32-episode (each episode is divided into 2 parts) MBC romantic drama starring Kim Dong-Wook and Moon Ga-Young.

Summary

Lee Jung-Hoon (Kim Dong-Wook) is a top news anchor who is known as the "gentle tyrant" because, although he is gentle, he has a sharp tongue that makes his live news show popular for exposing everyone from celebrities to politicians. He has a condition that makes him remember every moment of his life; That condition is excellent for his work life but hinders his private life since he is not able to forget anything, especially a very traumatic memory of how his girlfriend lost her life.
Jung-Hoon is tasked to interview the popular actress Yeo Ha-Jin (Moon Ga-Young), who is promoting her new movie and has recently been embroiled in many love scandals (but they are just friends!). Ha-Jin is kind and has a carefree personality, her kindness even makes her turn the other cheek when her drama co-star bullies her. Ha-Jin has memory problems and it seems that they are a defense mechanism against an awful event that happened to her.
During the interview with Ha-Jin, Jung-Hoon freezes when he starts to remember his late girlfriend and people on the internet start attacking Ha-Jin with edited gifs and saying that she stormed out in the middle of the interview.
Later that night, Jung-Hoon goes to meet his boss Choi Hee-Sang (Jang Young-Nam) who was drinking in a restaurant and when he arrives he discovers that Ha-Jin is also there. A reporter takes pictures of them leaving the restaurant, and the to anger of both Jung-Hoon and Ha-Jin's manager (who is also her younger sister), Yeo Ha-Kyung (Kim Seul-Gi), Ha-Jin tells a reporter that she and Anchor Lee are "getting to know each other". The reason behind what Ha-Jin did is that she wants to "get even" for the mistake that Jung-Hoon made during the broadcast, but she is also interested in him. Ha-Jin and Jung-Hoon make a deal that they will "date" and "break up" in 2 weeks...

Thoughts

Find Me in Your Memory is a good drama that deals with grief and also the hardships of being a celebrity.
The cinematography is so pretty, I really like SPOILER the shot when Jung-Hoon sees his girlfriend fall, it's really well done. SPOILER ENDS An issue I found with the cinematography is the amount of cuts the scenes have, but to be sincere I only noticed when rewatching some scenes especially the one with the first kiss (when she is drunk and kisses him).
The acting is really good. Kim Dong-Wook and Moon Ga-Young are excellent in their respective roles, and although they have an age gap in real life (as I write this, Moon Ga-Young is 27 and Kim Dong-Wook is 40), the characters only have an age difference of 6 years (I read the character profiles on MyDramaList, I don't know how accurate they are though). Ha-Jin is a really funny character and her outfits are always on point. Jung-Hoo, although he is generally very serious, you will quickly warm up to him.
From the OST I really liked the song "One Day" sung by Solji (of EXID) the lyrics are really pretty and fit very well with the drama.
I really want to comment something on the ending so SPOILER At first the typical Kdrama breakup in the last episodes made me angry, but to be realistic the reason why they broke up totally makes sense. I imagine if this happened in real life, the netizens would be angry that Jung-Hoo is dating his dead girlfriend's best friend SPOILER ENDS
I recommend this Kdrama if you like watching dramas with characters who are celebrities, people trying to get over grief, and a cute romance.
