SEVENTEEN - "MAESTRO" MV Review

Image
Photo source: Pledis Ent. and Seventeen Twitter (X) account . Seventeen (세븐틴), also known as SVT is a boy group from the company Pledis Entertainment that debuted on May 26, 2015 and consists of 13 members: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. The group is named Seventeen because they have 13 members, 3 teams (dance, hip-hop and vocal) and they are 1 group (13+3+1=17). "MAESTRO" is the title track from their compilation album 17 Is Right Here which consists of all their singles from debut till now (2024) plus 4 unreleased songs (MAESTRO being one of them). "MAESTRO" Review I really loved "MAESTRO" at the very first listen and found myself bobbing my head alongside the song during (and after) the bridge at 3:06 . My favorite parts of the song are the aforementioned bridge and when Wonwoo switches it up at 1:46 . The choreography is super good and energetic, but we're talking about Seventeen,

IVE - "HEYA" MV Review

Image
Photo Source: Starship Ent. "Heya" (해야) is a single and title track for IVE's second Korean mini-album Ive Switch. "Heya" is IVE's first comeback of 2024 after releasing " Baddie " ( Review ) on October 13, 2023.    "Heya" Review "Heya" is a really big upgrade from IVE's previous song, "Baddie"; I found "Heya" to be very catchy and I have to say that I sincerely liked this song a lot. The parts from the song that stood out for me where the pre-choruses at 0:42  and 1:48  and the bridge at 2:23  -which was my favorite part of the song-. The verses of the song are good and I think that the "weakest" (although still good) part of the song was the chorus.  The choreography -although not the best- seems quite fun. The dance point (as seen on: 0:57 ) reminds me a little bit of Produce 101 (and later I.O.I) " Pick Me ". This MV is influenced by Eastern culture -I can't comment much on tha

RIIZE'S "One Kiss" + "9 Days" MV Review

Image
-The picture above is from "Love 119"-  Photo Source: SM Ent.   After pre-releasing " Impossible " ( Review ) on April 18, now Riize has pre-released two more MV's for the songs from their upcoming first mini-album Riizing. The -other- previous songs by Riize are  " Memories " (Pre-Debut), " Get A Guitar " ( Review ), " Talk Saxy " ( Review ) and " Love 119 " ( Review ).   Disclaimer: These reviews are going to be short and as the videos aren't "real" music videos but remind me more of fan videos, I will not rate the MV Quality, Choreography and Style (I found both videos super adorable, though) "One Kiss" Review "One Kiss" gives real nostalgic vibes, and it reminds me a lot of old-school boy groups. I found the song to be very charming. My favorite part was the bridge sung by Wonbin, Sohee, and Sungchan at 2:27 . The MV is really cute and it consists of the Riize members having fun on cam

RIIZE - "Impossible" MV Review

Image
Photo source: SM Ent. "Impossible" is a pre-release (or "prologue song") for Riize's upcoming first mini-album RIIZING. This song is also their 5th single after " Memories " (Pre-Debut), " Get A Guitar " ( Review ), " Talk Saxy " ( Review ) and " Love 119 " ( Review ). Riize continues as 6 because their member Seunghan is not on this single (or mini-album) as he is still on hiatus. "Impossible" Review I will put a hand on my heart and just tell the truth: When I first heard the teasers for "Impossible" I thought that I was going to hate this song so badly that it would become Riize's first miss (for me), but I have to say that the full release left me pleasantly surprised. The ~vibes~ of this song -although they sound nothing alike- remind me of a faster-paced cousin of Shinee's " View " (which I love). My favorite part of the song is the pre-chorus (see: 1:00  and  2:01 ) I love it.
