Le Sserafim - "Easy" MV Review (+ a short mini album review)
Le Sserafim is a girl group from the company Source Music/Hybe labels that debuted on May 2, 2022 and consists of 5 members (formerly 6) Sakura (ex-Iz*One), Chaewon (ex-Iz*One), Yunjin (participated in Produce 48 with Sakura and Chaewon), Kazuha and Eunchae. Le Sserafim is an anagram of I'm Fearless and also makes a reference to the seraphim (a type of angel).
"Easy" and "Smart" are the singles from their third mini album that shares the name Easy with the title track.

"Good Bones" is more like an intro to the mini album song than a "real" song. The song is spoken (not sung) in Korean, Japanese and English.
The instrumental is fire, though. It could be a great opener for a concert -this will be a really random reference, but it's like when Arctic Monkeys played "Matador" as the intro for 2007 Glastonbury-.
Rating – 10/10 (Just for the instrumental)
"Easy"
"Easy" is a very chill song, the beat is stuck in my head and I find the chorus super catchy. What I don't really like about this song is the heavy use of autotune. I think it doesn't work well with the style of the song.
The choreography looks too strong compared to how chill the song is.
The MV is an aesthetic masterpiece right from the start, with that gorgeous building full of vines. I love the reference to Michelangelo's "La Pietà" at 0:47 and the scene with Eunchae on the swing that begins at 2:18. The neon lights that appear throughout the MV reminds me of the 1996 movie Romeo + Juliet, especially the LSF heart.
Style-wise, I love the dress that Eunchae wears in the aforementioned swing scene and also the dresses that Yunjin and Eunchae wear in the (also) aforementioned La Pietà-type scene. Eunchae and Yunjin's hair colors look beautiful, especially Yunjin which suits her very well. I also really like the hairstyle Chaewon sports during the chorus.
I think this concept was made for Chaewon and Yujin; they really shine in this MV and throughout the song.

"Swan Song" is a cute and easy-to-listen song, albeit a bit short. I loved the bridge, although I found it a tad atypical.
Rating – 8/10

I don't like "Smart" much, especially when Yunjin sings during the pre-chorus "LE SSERAFIM, 날 이끌어 to victory," which I think was supposed to be a WOW moment, but ends up falling flat and Kazuha sings "loser, loser" during the second verse, which with all the autotune sounds weird.Length: 2:46.

I found "We Got So Much" to be similar (in a sense) to "Swan Song." They are both cute and easy to listen to songs. The only problem with this one is that I didn't enjoy the chorus very much.

Final Thoughts
Although I loved "Easy" and sort of enjoyed the other songs, but I just wish that Source Music/Hybe went more easy on the auto tune as the songs sounded a bit "robotic" to my ears.
Aside from that, I also found this mini album to be ultra-short. All the songs are less than 2:50...
Overall Easy Rating – 7.5/10
I don't know if you can tell, but I really liked the aesthetics of the "Easy" MV...
