Riize(
라이즈) is the newest SM boy group since NCT's debut in 2016 and the first group after Lee Soo Man's departure in 2022.
Riize debuted on September 4, 2023, and consists of 7 members: Shotaro (ex-NCT), Eunseok, Sungchan (also ex-NCT), Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton.
Riize combines the words "Rise" and "Realize" meaning "a team that grows and realizes dreams."

"Get A Guitar"

I first heard about Riize when their pre-release single "Memories" was released on August 21. I loved "Memories" so much I immediately went to listen to their other pre-release song, "Siren," which was also great -I love the "Beep Beep" part so much, especially when paired with the music video, which is fantastic by the way.- My anticipation with "Get A Guitar" was over the moon, and I'm happy that the song went above my expectations as I found "Get A Guitar" to be one of the best Kpop boy group debuts since Seventeen's "Adore U."
"Get A Guitar" is a catchy, refreshing, and fun pop song with a funky guitar sound that got my attention at the very first listen. My only complaint about "Get A Guitar" is that is on the shorter side at only 2:40 minutes long.
The beat with the "dun dun dun" part at the chorus that reminds me of Queen's' "Another One Bites The Dust" is very memorable and makes me want to tap my feet along.

The music video is charming, has a good pace, and a good editing that goes great with the song. The highlights (for me) are Wonbin's part starting at 1:12 and Shotaro's solo dance at 1:37. I like the choosen sets, especially the theatre where they filmed some of the parts of the music video is so beautiful. I also love the guitar/skateboard prop.
My only complaint about the music video is absolutely petty, but I don't like how they edited the person riding the skateboard at 1:50; it's a bit of an eyesore.

The choreography is eye-catching and fits the song like a glove. I love the dance point where they mimick playing a guitar; it's so well done.

Style-wise, the clothing looks fine. I have to say that I love Wonbin's Canadian tuxedo moment (I love the zebra print) and his red bomber jacket; they were my favorite outfits in the music video. Another outfit that I really like is Shotaro's "No Problemo" rugby polo. I love the colors used in that outfit, but I have to admit that it took some time to grow on me. Probably beacause of the beanie, I would get rid of it if I could (the outfit looks so good without the beanie in the picture above).
