Moving (무빙) is a 20-episode Disney+ original action-fantasy superhero series based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full starring Lee Jung-Ha, Go Youn-Jung, Kim Doo-Hoon, Ryu Seung-Ryong, Han Hyo-Joo, Cha Tae-Hyun and Zo In-Sung.

Summary

Kim Bong-Seok (Lee Jung-Ha), Jang Hui-Soo (Go Youn-Jung), and Lee Gang-Hoon (Kim Doo-Hoon) are classmates in class 3-3 of Jeongwon High School, but each of them hides a secret. The cheerful Bong-Seok has enhanced senses and also the power of flying, the sporty Hui-Soo has regenerative powers and the serious Gang-Hoon has superhuman speed and strength; they inherited these abilities from their parents.
Lee Mi-Hyun (Han Hyo-Joo) is the mother of Bong-Seok and the owner of a Dongaseu (or Tonkatsu) restaurant and, like her son, she has enhanced senses. Bong-Seok inherited his flying powers from his dad Kim Doo-Sik (Zo In-Sung), who appears to be missing. Hui-Soo father Jang Ju-Won (Ryu Seung-Ryong) is a former gangster and owner of a fried chicken restaurant and has the same self-healing powers as his daughter. The three of them are former employees of the National Intelligence Service with Doo-Sik and Ju-Won being ex-black ops agents and Mi-Hyun is an ex-agent who after a failed first mission became an intelligence analyst. Gang-Hoon dad, Lee Jae-Man (Kim Sung-Kyun), has a mental illness, he also has superpowered strength and speed and owns a mini-market with his wife.
Jeon Gye-Do (Cha Tae-Hyun), who has the power of electricity, is a former children's theater actor known as "Bungaeman" (Lightning Man), he is now a bus driver.
The other former superpowered agents are being hunted and murdered by a man named Frank (Ryoo Seung-Bum) who possesses the same abilities as Jung-Won and Hui-Soo.

Thoughts

Moving is a character-driven series and that is shown by the incredible cast where each actor shined in their roles. The villains (except for the government heads) were shown as "normal" humans who were just following orders and it made me feel sad for them. The romance in this series was really good, especially Mi-Hyun and Doo-Sik's plot with sweet moments like their first kiss and if I'm honest, their entire courtship made me swoon.
Length-wise, the series didn't feel drawn out probably because towards the end the episodes were a little shorter.
The action choreography was good and so was the CGI, except for the scene where Mi-Hyun is driving her car and sees cherry blossom trees.
This drama has many gore moments and even though I can't stand blood, I still managed to watch until the ending.
Overall, the series was fantastic and I'm hoping that there is a second season.
